About Colleen4Pueblo

I was born and raised in Pueblo Colorado. Like many of my peers after the steel mill closed in the 1980's I would spend decades in and out of Pueblo. I have two amazing children. both living outside of Pueblo.I have been married to my husband for 25 years. He is retired LEO and a combat veteran. I am presently retired from the career of Optician.

I began my career as a Certified Nurse's Aide while I attended the University of Southern Colorado, where I left just one hour short of my degree in Psychology and Sociology. In the early 1980's I worked as peer counselor for abused women and children. I went on to get my license in Real Estate. I would later go on to manage retail outlets. I began my journey into kitchen design in the 1990's. In 2001 I went on to design countertops and kitchen throughout Colorado Springs, Palmer Park and surrounding areas. After the company's owner passed away the company closed. I went on to complete my Real Estate Appraisal license with the intention to join my brothers in business, however they decided to close the business. It was then I went into Optical and optical management and received my ABO (AMERICAN BOARD OF OPTTCIANARY) the career which I retired from. My husband and I move back to Pueblo after his retirement from the DOJ. It was a year after moving back to Pueblo in 2016 that I became interested in local politics. I could not fathom why Pueblo was not the apple of Colorado's eye. We have the sun, the water, the land and the amenities. The more I began getting involved in the city the more divided I seen it had become. I hope to bring unity, fresh ideas and energy of renewed spirit. I have lived five lifetimes. each one taught me how to serve, how to listen, and how to lead with heart. Now I'm running for Pueblo City Councilor At Large -because I believe in healing, in hope, and in the power of rising together. I believe in Pueblo and Pueblo's amazing community! My Platform can be summed up as a movement to unity, communication, budget reform and business building friendly.
